Membership

Please take a few moments to review our membership types. Then click the Join button to complete your membership application or renew your membership.

You will receive a welcome email when your application is fully processed. The initial communication will include your password for accessing the Members Only area of our website.

Membership dues are set by the Board of Directors and may change from time to time. They are due annually on January 1st.

Membership Types

Regular Membership 

$50
Open to health care professionals and scientists of Caribbean background who reside in the USA. Regular members have the right to make motions, vote, and hold elective office.



Affiliate Membership

$50
Open to health care professionals and scientists who reside in the Caribbean. Health care professionals and scientists in the US who work with Caribbean populations or in areas of relevance to the Caribbean are also eligible for Affiliate Membership. Other professionals who have expertise relevant to the aims and mission of the organization are also eligible for membership with approval of the Board of Directors. Affiliate members do not have the right to make motions, vote, or hold elective office.



Lifetime Membership

$500
Individuals and corporations may apply for lifetime membership under criteria to be developed by the Board of Directors.



Student Membership

$10
Open to students of Caribbean background in the health professions or the sciences. Student members do not have the right to make motions, vote, or hold elective office. Dues for students may be waived at the discretion of the Board of Directors.



Honorary Membership

(Honorary membership is bestowed at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Fee not applicable.)
The Board of Directors may elect as honorary members (on the basis of position, honor or eminence in the community) persons who would not ordinarily qualify for membership in the association. Organizations are also eligible for honorary membership based on similar criteria. Honorary members shall be designated as Honorary Members of the Caribbean Medical and Scientific Association, Inc. and have such privileges as the Board of Director shall determine. Honorary members have all the rights of regular members except the right to make motions, vote, or hold elective office. 

OUTREACH

CAMSA has developed an Outreach Program that conducts medical missions to underserved communities throughout the Caribbean. In addition to its missions, CAMSA organizes conferences and town hall meetings geared towards health promotion and the prevention of chronic diseases. Our program also includes health screening and distribution of literature.
